This fall, join us for an extended Yoga Nidra Practice with Sree Devi Bringi the first Saturday of each month.

This meditation practice is a well-researched methodology developed by the Bihar School of Yoga in India. Known to induce deep brain relaxation state, yoga nidra also reduces stress, promotes cognitive capacities and enhances our spiritual journey of self-awareness. Indulge in 20 to 30 minutes of yogic philosophy before diving into a guided relaxation practice.

You will be in shavasana pose (lying down), incorporating body relaxation, visualizations, breath awareness, emotional release, mental harmonizing, and chakra sensitization. The practice begins and ends with the power of a strong intention of manifestation (sankalpa).

Join us and enhance your energy, health and self-healing capacity with Yoga Nidra. Class Format: Starts with opening chants, asana movements and a brief teaching/dialogue. Guided meditation in shavasana, ends with silence and closing blessing chants.

Sreedevi Bringi, MSc, MS, MA
Recently retired faculty in Yoga Studies, Hinduism and Sacred Sanskrit at Naropa University, Boulder. A native of India, Sreedevi has received formal training in the spiritual teachings of yoga, meditation, sacred Hindu/yogic texts and Sanskrit. She has been an invited guest faculty at the Kripalu Yoga Center, Hanuman Yoga Festival, Moksha Yoga Festival and at spiritual centers in India. Sreedevi leads spiritual study intensives and yogic meditation trainings nationwide. Sreedevi has developed and guides a certification program for Yoga Nidra teaching and practice based on the Bihar School of Yoga guidelines, rooted in traditional raja yoga/Tantric yoga, and also linked to contemporary work on neuroscience of healing, visualizations, therapeutic sound, etc,.
