Experience and Background:
Helen began practicing yoga in 2009 as a fifteen year old. She fell in love with the self expression that came through moving on the rectangular mat. The years since 2009 took her on a winding journey through injuries and travel, finally leading her to complete her 200 hour teacher training in winter 2018 at the New School of Yogic Arts in Boston.
Using distinct, crisp, and concise language, Helen aims to provide a fresh look at yoga poses to awaken new perspectives in students. Combining asana (poses), pranayama (breathing), and meditation techniques, Helen emphasizes alignment and breath work with modifications for beginners and advanced practitioners. She provides strategies for students bring yoga “off the mat” and into their day to day lives.
