Keira has been teaching yoga since 2006; she began her practice for physical reasons and was quickly hooked for the positive ways it impacted her mental and emotional well-being. She is a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), under the International Association of Yoga Therapists; she received her 300 hour yoga therapy training through Integrative Yoga Therapy, at Kripalu, in MA, her 200 hour Hatha teacher training through the Yoga Pod, in Boulder, CO, and began her yoga journey with traditional Hot, or Bikram yoga teacher training, in Los Angeles, CA. Additionally, she holds special certificates in Kids Yoga, and Yoga Nidra.
Keira is also a Registered Psychotherapist; she holds a dual masters degree in Body Psychotherapy and Dance-Movement Therapy from Naropa University, and has a private practice in Broomfield, CO, where she specializes in work as a body-centered psychotherapist with children, teens and adults. She certified as a Massage Therapist in 2008, and understands the healing power of touch.
