Experience and Background:
Nicole was born in Santiago, Chile. In 1990, she received her BA in Advertising and Social Communication from Instituto Profesional Escuela de Comunicación Mónica Herrera. Her first job in the corporate world was designing ad campaigns at an international insurance company. Soon she noticed that this was not her passion. So she went back to school and enrolled in Newfield’s certified coach training, and in 1993 got certified as an ontological coach.
In 2002 she moved to the USA with her husband and son, and a few years later she took a 500 hour massage therapy training at Monterey Institute of Touch in Carmel, California. In 2008 she got certified as a Vital Sensation homeopath from California Center of Homeopathic Education & New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. In 2012, as her interest in physical health got connected with her love for nature, she got certified as a tree climbing instructor and facilitator from Tree Climbing Colorado. When she is not teaching Avita Yoga, you can find her hiking, making art or leading tree climbing programs. She is also involved in preserving forests in the south of Chile.
Nicole sees Avita Yoga as a practice that can change us on many levels. She became aware that there is so much potential in us, once we regain mobility in our joints and freedom in our minds. As a way of giving back to life and the community, she wants to teach and share this method with as many people as she can.
What Might A Student Experience in Class with Nicole Olalla?
In Nicole’s Avita classes you will find a gentle approach to experience this yoga practice and through that experience discover your own healing journey, whatever that might be.
Nicole began taking Kauit yoga in 2016 at Yoga Loft Boulder because she was experiencing lower back pain. From her first class, she noticed a tremendous change in her lower back and hips, so she started to practice regularly. In 2017 she enrolled in the 200 hour Kauit Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Loft. This training allowed her to deepen her understanding of the practice which has evolved into what is now known as Avita Yoga, she then completed the 200 Avita Training at Yoga Loft on 2018 and immediately started teaching.
